happy friday

I’ve been diligently working on some illustrations for my Joey story. I only have these two completed though.

As much as I want to complete this story and move on to my next idea, I keep getting side tracked on other ideas or projects.

I need to focus but just can’t seem to do it. On Wednesday, I got out my gelli plate and made a bunch of disasters (aka collage fodder).

Yesterday, I got two new pens that I’d ordered from Amazon so that put a screeching halt to my day. I had to stop and try them out. What else could I do?

Here are the last of the "inchie" sketches for 2015. These have become a habit now. It takes no time at all to draw something an inch tall!

Posting to Paint Party Friday…please stop by and have a look!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

  6. I love that 'inchie' project and those illustrations. You are so talented but it can be maddening when life comes to distract from the real important stuff in life... like creating art. I've been going to do something for about two years now and still not really started! I'm determined that I am going to strive to complete it!
    Happy PPF to you

  12. In not sure how I missed the posts about your novel but I've just read back and seen you've been working on it for five years. That's not so bad, I wrote one and started illustrating it in 1997 and it's still on my 'to do someday' pile!! Your illustrations are wonderful and the colors are so vibrant. I hope you do finish it. Those inches are adorable and great idea for sketching even a tiny thing every day.
